that is completely land locked by the City of Valdosta. The
Strickland Cotton Mill brought about the formation of Remerton
in 1899. In 1951, the Strickland Mill and village became the incorporated City of Remerton.

The Mayor and Council of the City of Remerton will hold a Public Hearing at City Hall to discuss the budget for fiscal year 2010-2011 on March 8, 2010 immediately following the 5:30 p.m. Regular Session.
Adoption of the Proposed Operating Budget will be at Remerton City Hall Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. A copy of the Proposed Operating Budget may be viewed at Remerton City Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m., Monday –Friday.
